Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy is incorporated by reference into the Addr.cm Terms of Service. By using Addr.cm, you agree to comply with this policy. Violations may result in immediate enforcement action.

1. Prohibited content

You may not use Addr.cm to publish, transmit, store, or otherwise make available content that: (a) is unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading; (b) is defamatory, libelous, threatening, harassing, abusive, or hateful; (c) is obscene, pornographic, or sexually exploitative, including any content involving minors; (d) infringes, misappropriates, or violates any intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other proprietary rights of any third party; (e) contains malware, viruses, trojans, or other harmful code; (f) impersonates any person or entity or falsely represents your affiliation with any person or entity; (g) contains personal, financial, or sensitive information of third parties without their consent; (h) promotes illegal activities, violence, discrimination, or self-harm; or (i) is otherwise objectionable as determined by Addr.cm in its sole discretion.

2. Prohibited conduct

You may not: (a) access or use the platform for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these terms; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any accounts, systems, networks, or data, including through hacking, password mining, social engineering, or any other means; (c) circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security features, access controls, or usage limits of the platform; (d) reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code or underlying algorithms of any part of the platform; (e) use the platform to transmit unsolicited communications, spam, chain letters, or promotions; (f) interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the platform, including through denial-of-service attacks, excessive API usage, or resource abuse; (g) use any automated means, including bots, scrapers, crawlers, spiders, or data miners, to access, collect, or extract data from the platform without our express written permission; (h) frame, mirror, or otherwise incorporate any part of the platform into any other service; (i) resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercially exploit access to the platform without our prior written consent; (j) use the platform to compete with Addr.cm or to benchmark against Addr.cm; (k) assist, facilitate, or encourage any third party in doing any of the foregoing; or (l) violate any applicable law, regulation, or industry standard in connection with your use of the platform.

3. Resource and rate limits

You must not consume computing, storage, bandwidth, or API resources in a manner that is disproportionate, excessive, or that degrades the platform for other users. We reserve the right to impose rate limits, throttle requests, restrict storage, or suspend access at any time if your usage is unreasonable or threatens platform stability. We may establish and modify usage guidelines from time to time without notice.

4. Domain and identity requirements

Custom domains connected to Addr.cm must be legitimately owned or controlled by you. You may not register domains that impersonate other brands, entities, or individuals. You may not use Addr.cm subdomains or hosted URLs in a manner that suggests affiliation with, endorsement by, or sponsorship by Addr.cm or any third party unless expressly authorized.

5. Monitoring and investigation

We reserve the right, but have no obligation, to monitor your use of the platform for compliance with this policy. We may investigate suspected violations using any lawful means available to us, including reviewing content, analyzing usage patterns, and cooperating with law enforcement. You agree to cooperate with any investigation and to provide information reasonably requested by us.

6. Enforcement

We may, at our sole discretion and without prior notice or liability, take any enforcement action we deem appropriate in response to violations of this policy, including but not limited to: issuing warnings, removing or disabling content, restricting features, suspending accounts, terminating accounts, reporting violations to law enforcement, and pursuing legal remedies. We are not obligated to provide advance notice or an opportunity to cure before taking enforcement action, particularly in cases involving immediate harm, illegal activity, or repeated violations.

We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any enforcement action taken under this policy. You acknowledge that enforcement decisions are made at our sole discretion and are final.

7. Reporting violations

If you believe content or activity on the platform violates this policy, please report it through the operator support channel. We will review reports in good faith but are not obligated to take action on any particular report or to disclose the outcome of any investigation.

8. Changes to this policy

We may modify this Acceptable Use Policy at any time. Changes are effective upon posting. Your continued use of the platform after any modification constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. It is your responsibility to review this policy periodically.
